Owen Marchetti-Sund has joined Selwyn as principal for decommissioning, effective this month, based in London.
Until now retirement work has been carried inside every other practice — scoped as part of a modernization or a migration, and delivered by whoever was closest to it. He has spent nine years on decommissioning and records retention across regulated estates. From this month retirement is scoped as its own engagement, with its own date, in every proposal the firm writes.
I have spent nine years being the last person on programs everybody else had already left. It is a strange thing to be hired for and I am pleased about it.
